HOST A WEDDING OR RECEPTION

CORPORATE EVENTS

Whether you want a large seating area for a corporate retreat or a small meeting space for 20-30 people, the Shalin Liu Performance Center offers a perfect site for your next gathering.  With state-of-the art A/V systems, both the concert and reception hall are equipped with built-in high-definition projector and large screen (30 ft. screen in the concert hall) allowing for professional PowerPoint presentations and sound system.  For those companies seeking a special location for holiday parties or retirement events, the Shalin Liu Performance Center is the ideal place.

CONCERT EVENTS

Many non-profit organizations choose to host their special events at the Shalin Liu Performance Center.  Whether you are an organization hosting a special concert and reception or a school highlighting student musicians, Rockport Music’s Shalin Liu Performance Center is a beautiful location for making that event unforgettable.  The Concert Hall provides 334 seats and the Reception Hall can accommodate up to 230 people for a standing reception. You can watch a brief video tour of the performance space here.

Technical Specifications

RECORDINGS

Since the opening of the Shalin Liu Performance Center, the Hall has already been the site of numerous recordings, including Parma Recordings, Steinway Recordings, ESPN, Emmanuel Music, Soundmirror and Architectural Digest, as well as several self-produced recordings from individuals. Recordings are charged on an hourly basis and weekday rates are $75/hour (including setup and breakdown).  Sound engineer and equipment costs are not included.  For more information, please discuss with the Director of Rental Events.

RENTAL RATES

Rental rates vary for weekends vs. weekdays and Rockport Music offers discounted rates for non-profit organizations.  Due to summer festivals, the Hall availability is limited during the summer months.

Holidays have a $500 surcharge and summer weekends are charged a premium (see Rental Rate Information below). Other rates may apply.

The Director of Rentals Office is located next door to the Shalin Liu Performance Center at 35 Main Street.  Rockport Music is a Massachusetts Liquor Licensee. Therefore, under Massachusetts law, all alcohol for events must be purchased through Rockport Music.
