Channeling folk rock luminaries like Crosby Stills & Nash and and James Taylor, The Sweet Remains bring their harmony-soaked Americana to Rockport for a night of sweet, melodic roots music.

"It’s been a long time since 3-part harmonies this lush were yoked to songs this melodically gorgeous"- Boston Herald

Led by a talented trifecta of songwriters in Rich Price, Greg Naughton and Brian Chartrand, The Sweet Remains evoke the sounds of 70’s Laurel Canyon, the trio’s voices and songwriting styles melding effortlessly together.  Before forming in 2008, each songwriter had already crafted successful solo careers. Price, from Vermont, was signed to Geffen Records and had his song “I’m On My Way” on the popular Shrek 2 soundtrack. Chartrand, a South Hadley, MA native, had already fronted several bands including Ten Dollar Outfit and The Voce Project. Naughton, from New York City, had recorded with famed singer Phoebe Snow). They met by chance in an informal jam session in Rhode Island and the chemistry was immediate.

In 2009 the trio independently released their debut record Laurel & Sunset. Their commercial exposure got a major boost when the acclaimed compilation record label Putumayo included their song “Dance with Me” on its Acoustic Café compilation.  In 2012, they released a DVD & CD Live at The Canal Room followed the next year by their sophomore studio album North & Prospect. The band’s gorgeous three-part harmonies and melodic roots rock approach found a growing audience and the trio began touring in earnest throughout the country and Europe. Their most recent album, Night Songs, was released in September of 2015.
