David Deveau, piano  | Borromeo Quartet | Barry Shiffman, viola | Thomas van Dyck, bass

Internationally acclaimed for his expressive and poetic interpretations, pianist David Deveau (and RCMF Artistic Director Emeritus) returns to Rockport with the world-renowned Borromeo Quartet for an evening of Beethoven, celebrating the 250th Anniversary of his birth.  The Beethoven Piano Concerto, Op. 58 was part of David’s 2018 release which Gramophone Magazine hailed as “If you were hearing…Beethoven’s Fourth Concerto for the first time via these reductions for string quintet or sextet and piano, you wouldn’t suspect that anything’s amiss. This is partly due to the intense and enlivening contributions of the Borromeo Quartet (and colleagues), matched note by note and point by point by David Deveau’s mindful, stylish virtuosity.”
