ROCKPORT CHAMBER MUSIC
FESTIVAL 2020

June 12-July 12
Annex: August 7-9

Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Festival is scheduled to open with the Míro Quartet and Anthony McGill on June 27. All events prior to that date are canceled.

BARRY SHIFFMAN, artistic director
This year’s Rockport Chamber Music Festival celebrates the 250th birthday of Ludwig van Beethoven, a composer whose musical influences are felt worldwide today. Considered one of the pillars of Viennese Classicism, his compositions helped transition the move into Romanticism.  From quartets, solo piano and chamber orchestras on the mainstage to brass “big band” and salon-style performances, the Festival brings a fresh perspective to chamber music.
