This evening features an all-star cast of some of the most innovative string voices across the globe.
Utilizing their respective traditions as vehicles for connection and cultural intersection, the concert will feature the groundbreaking Baltimore-based guitarist Yasmin Williams and innovative Old-time duo, Tatiana Hargreaves and Allison Degroot as well as Swedish fiddle virtuoso Lena Jonsson and more. The concert will have Scottish harp player Maeve Gilchrist and Irish multi-instrumentalist Seamus Egan representing the contemporary Irish and Scottish musical lens and resident guitarist and sound designer Kyle Sanna providing the glue throughout.
Join us in reimagining what acoustic string music means as we take our respective time-old traditions and reframe them in a contemporary light. This is what the Rockport Celtic Festival is all about!

About the Rockport Celtic Festival

In partnership with Rockport Music, Edinburgh-born harpist/composer Maeve Gilchrist and WGBH’s Brian O’Donovan proudly present the 4th annual Rockport Celtic Festival celebrating the music of both the Celtic and French diaspora in Eastern Canada. As always, the Festival features a wide and quite extraordinary variety of new and familiar musicians, singers and storytellers.
