Rockport Music is dedicated to fostering an appreciation of music through accessible programs. We offer world class live performances on and off stage, in addition to working side by side with students in the classroom. The vision for Rockport Music education is to provide engaging and interactive programming of all genres throughout the community to encourage curiosity, participation, and creativity through music.

Artist Talks & Lectures

Rockport Music’s talks and lectures provide music lovers opportunities to learn more about music and the artists in a fun, informative environment. Programs have included pre-concert talks with artists in both classical and jazz concerts, pre-opera presentations for the MET Opera broadcasts, a sequential series to learn about opera and much more.

Youth on Stage

Empowering the Future of Music

Rockport Music is excited to share its renowned Shalin Liu Performance Center with local schools as well as numerous Boston-based youth music programs. Ongoing partnerships with the districts of Rockport, Gloucester, and Ipswich include annual performances of their school’s ensembles on stage.  In addition, several Boston-based youth ensembles like Project STEP, Boston String Academy, Boston Children’s Chorus and Boston City Singers are highlighted throughout the season.  Visit our events calendar (and enter Free & Family filter) to see the upcoming public performances.
