Adult Education and Community Engagement
Rockport Music is dedicated to fostering an appreciation of music through accessible programs for people of all ages. We offer opportunities for adults to be exposed to a diverse offering of musical experiences through free or discounted concerts, open rehearsals, artist interviews, pre-concert lectures and more. Beyond the walls of the Shalin Liu Performance Center we bring musicians into community venues on Cape Ann such as nursing homes, senior centers, museums as well as coffee shops and other local small businesses.
Adult Education Programs
Rockport Music’s Adult Education programs provide music lovers to learn more about music in a fun, informative environment. Programs have included pre-concert talks with artists in both classical and jazz concerts, series of opera classes, learning how to play an instrument, and much more.
Concerts & More
Rockport Music enjoys participating in the exciting Town of Rockport festivals and long-standing traditions such as Motif # 1 Day and Harvest Festival. In addition to these activities, Rockport Music offers numerous free (and discounted) concerts, summer pop-up “concerts”, free films, as well as numerous other activities to the Cape Ann community year-round.
