LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
Rockport Music (and the Shalin Liu Performance Center) acknowledge that our physical spaces stand on the occupied original homeland of the Pawtucket people who had nearby settlements at Wonasquam (Gloucester/Rockport), Agawam (Ipswich) and Naumkeag (Beverly/Salem). We’d like to pay grateful respect to the ancestral bloodline of the Pawtucket as well as their descendants, and we honor and respect the many native peoples who are connected to this land, past, present and future.
