Rockport Music Volunteers
Be a Part of the Music—Volunteer with Rockport Music!
Rockport Music’s incredible performances and programs wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our volunteers. Each season, our volunteers bring energy, enthusiasm and a love of music, helping us create unforgettable experiences for our audiences. Whether you’re greeting guests, ushering in our stunning concert hall, assisting at concessions or lending a hand behind the scenes, your time and talents make a meaningful impact.
With so many events throughout the year, there’s a volunteer opportunity for everyone! Join us in bringing world-class music to Rockport and become a valued part of our community—whether it’s through concert support, helping with mailings or sharing the beauty of the Shalin Liu Performance Center as a docent. However you choose to get involved, you’ll be making a difference while connecting with fellow music lovers.
Volunteer positions include but are not limited to:
Ushering
Scan tickets
Hand out programs
Help patrons find their seats
Assist with selling artist CD and merchandise sales
Provide general information to patrons
Assist with seating issues
Inform patrons of Shalin Liu Performance Center amenities, when appropriate
Assist with Will Call before an event
Concessions
Assist in the setup and breakdown of concessions before and after an event
Sell concession items before an event and during intermission (must be 18 years old)
Handling concessions cash
Docents
Host tours of the Shalin Liu Performance Center or welcome guests wishing to gather information about the Hall or simply see the beautiful concert hall.
Administrative
Assist with ticketing, marketing or special event mailings
Answer phones, data entry, etc.
Other
Distribute promotional materials within the community
Provide transportation or housing for visiting artists
