Event Ticketing Representative
General Description
Rockport Music, home of the Shalin Liu Performance Center, is seeking a Will Call Associate. Working closely with the Patron Experience Manager and front-of-house staff, this position serves as a key, event-facing point of contact for patrons attending performances.
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide efficient, courteous, and accurate ticket distribution and customer service at will call during performances and events. This position focuses on event execution, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for patrons picking up or resolving ticketing needs on-site.
Responsibilities
- Distribute will call tickets to patrons at performances, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Reprint tickets and assist with last-minute ticket needs during events.
- Provide high-quality customer service in person, including resolving ticketing issues and patron concerns at will call.
- Manage will call setup and breakdown for each event, including organizing tickets alphabetically and maintaining a clean, functional workspace.
- Coordinate with box office and front-of-house staff to ensure accurate and up-to-date event information.
- Assist with scanning or directing patrons as needed to support event flow.
- Troubleshoot ticketing issues in real time, escalating to management when necessary.
- Maintain familiarity with event details, seating policies, and venue procedures to assist patrons effectively.
- Work scheduled performances, including weeknights, and weekends as needed.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. Comfort with ticketing systems (preferably Tessitura or other ticketing CRM) and basic computer skills are preferred.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential. Candidates must be reliable, team-oriented, and capable of handling patron interactions with professionalism and courtesy.
Experience
1–2 years of customer service experience required; prior ticketing, box office, or live event experience preferred.

Bartender
Reports to: Director of Rental Events & Volunteers
Position Description
The Part-Time Bartender is responsible for delivering excellent guest service by preparing and serving beverages efficiently in a fast-paced live performance environment. This role supports a positive audience experience before, during, and after performances while maintaining high standards of safety, cleanliness, and professionalism. This position requires a mature professional who is passionate about providing memorable experiences to all served.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and quickly
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience
- Operate POS systems and handle cash and credit transactions responsibly
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar area
- Verify guest identification and comply with all alcohol service laws and venue policies
- Collaborate with fellow bartenders, barbacks, and other staff members during high-volume shows/events
- Set up and break down bar station(s) before and after events
- Monitor guest consumption and handle sensitive situations calmly and responsibly
- Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience preferred (high-volume or event bartending a plus)
- Knowledge of beer, wine, classic cocktails and basic bar equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask
- Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Must meet minimum legal age requirements to serve alcohol
- TIPS certification required (or willingness to obtain upon hiring)
