For the Community
Rockport Music is committed to enriching our region through accessible and dynamic musical experiences. By presenting world-class performances and offering innovative, immersive programming, we ignite musical curiosity, foster inclusivity, and welcome creative participation.
Family Experiences
Experience the joy of music together at our fun and engaging Family Concerts. These concerts are specifically designed with our youngest listeners in mind and often include pre-concert activities to spark curiosity and creativity. In addition, our Family Films series are screenings that bring everyone into the concert hall for a shared, unforgettable experience. Whether it’s your first visit or a family tradition, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

Community & Family Concerts
Each season, we present a variety of Community Concerts that explore both relevant and thought-provoking topics. Whether through exploring new genres, embracing cultural diversity, or fostering thoughtful dialogue, these events strive to create experiences that resonate on a personal level and inspire a deeper connection to music and the arts. Concerts include cultural celebrations, thoughtfully curated thematic performances, sensory-friendly offerings, and events inspired by social causes or calls to action. In addition, the musicians who visit Northshore schools through our In-School Residency program present public concerts to share their creative artistry.
“It was lovely to attend a concert with such talented and enthusiastic performers.”

Beyond the Music: Artist Talks, Lectures, and Masterclasses
Whether delving into the cultural, social, and changemaking potential of music, interviews with visiting artists, or talks led by esteemed musicologists, there are numerous ways to engage and learn beyond performances at Rockport Music. Offerings include pre-concert talks and artist demonstrations, enhancing the participants’ concert experience, and pre-opera presentations for MET Opera broadcasts provide valuable insights into the production’s key arias and historical and cultural significance. Standalone lectures and sequential classes include programs that bring awareness to the multidimensional nature of music, serve as a connecting thread for pieces being performed each season, and give an in-depth look at the rich history of the music and composers alike.
