Trumpeter Jens Lindemann leads an ensemble in a program that opens with a classical trumpet concerto and concludes with a lively tribute to the instrument’s greats, from Louis Armstrong and Chet Baker to Doc Severinsen and others. A recipient of the Order of Canada, Lindemann brings virtuosic command and genre-spanning artistry to this celebratory evening.

JENS LINDEMANN, trumpet
As the first classical brass soloist to receive the Order of Canada, trumpeter Jens Lindemann is widely regarded as one of the most celebrated artists in the history of his instrument. Recently named International Brass Personality of the Year by Brass Herald, Lindemann has built an extraordinary career that spans classical and jazz, redefining the role of the trumpet on the world stage.
